"The Grand Design" by Steven Hawking - Critique

There are other ways to philosophically interpret the science put forth in Steven Hawking's book "The Grand Design"

Introduction

To begin with, Steven Hawking is a great physicist, but beyond that he is a great man. You simply must take off your hat to someone who can persevere and have a distinquished career no less, while dealing with such a dibilitating disease. Another great thing that he has done is to translate, if you will, modern physics from the heavily math oriented pursuit that it is into language that the rest of us can understand. My own work as a philosopher is heavily dependant upon his books and the books of others that have undertaken this task. In this blog, I will be attacking some of the philosophical ideas he has put forth in his book “The Grand Design,” but I want it understood that this is necessary (as I think he would agree) and only in the interest of the pursuit of truth. In my eyes Steven Hawking is, and always will be, a King.
